eMedley® Privacy Policy
Introduction
AllofE Solutions, LLC (collectively “AllofE”, “us”, “we”, “our”) is committed to protecting the data of our customers (collectively “you”, “your”). This Policy describes the data we collect, how it is used and shared, and your choices regarding this data. With this policy, we ensure that we gather, store and handle data fairly, securely, and transparently with respect towards individual rights. This policy applies to all customer data in AllofE’s systems – including, but not limited to, the eMedley system and its related components.
Your Institution
AllofE primarily provides its products to institutions such as educational institutions. As a user affiliated with one of these institutions, your institution controls access to your information in accordance with their own privacy policies. This privacy policy describes how we use and interact with your information only.
Your information (defined below) provided to AllofE through the use of our products is governed by the terms of the agreement between AllofE and your institution. You and/or your institution own all right, title and interest to user information provided or otherwise made available to us, and we do not own, control, or license such information, except so as to provide the products to you and to your institution.
Your Information
Your information is any information (in any format) that is maintained by your institution, or by us, as part of the provision of the products. AllofE agrees to treat your information as confidential and not to share it with third parties other than as described in this policy and in our agreement with your institution.
Your information may be introduced as you and your institution use our products. This information includes any data that you or your institution have provided, may provide, or may be collected by us in connection with your use of the products including, but not limited to, the following types:
Personal Data
We may receive personal data directly from your institution’s information systems, or administrative users, or from you directly. Personal data elements may include names, email addresses, student identification numbers, and user roles (e.g., student). We only process personal data to the extent necessary for the provision of user content and the operations of our system.
Institutional Data
Institutional data is provided by your institution in connection with their use of our products. This may include, but is not limited to, enrollments, administrators, courses, assignments, tests, evaluations, calendars, and clinical logs. Your institution may also provide a connection between you and the institutional data which may be used for the operations of our system.
User-Generated Content
When using our products, you may submit content such as assignments, discussions, tests, course materials, clinical logs, evaluations, etc. This content is stored in our systems and may only be viewed, updated, or deleted by the submitting students, preceptors, instructors, or administrator users from your institution. AllofE does not directly delete, modify, release, or update user-generated content except as directed by your institution.
Logs & Analytics
We generate system log files for problem reporting during use of the system and for tracking your access to system resources. These are securely stored and are necessary for the operation of our systems.
Additionally, we may log details about your interaction with our products such as login attempts, page visits or other details requested by your institution. We use these details to improve the quality of, and resolve issues with, our products. These details may also be provided to your institution when they relate to your user-generated content or when requested by administrator users from your institution.
We may compile anonymized, aggregate information from analytics data for security, development, and/or marketing purposes. This aggregate information will have all of your personal data anonymized or removed.
Your Rights
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell personal data, institutional data, or user generated content to Third Party Recipients. We do not share your information with other Recipients that do not have permission to see or access the data as described in the agreement between us and your institution. Your institution may disclose your information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We may disclose anonymized, aggregate information to authorized Recipients as described above.
In certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your information in order to comply with relevant legal or regulatory processes, or as requested by your institution.
Modifying or Deleting Your Information
You can modify some of your information using interfaces in our products. Any other requests to modify or delete your information must be directed to your institution. AllofE does not directly delete, modify, release, or update your information in response to any request, except through interfaces in the system or as directed by your institution in accordance with the agreement between us and your institution.
Such requests may be submitted through the university eMedley administrator via the tickets interface in our products, or via email to privacy@allofe.com.
